Caroline King MNCS
I am a Trauma Informed Integrative Coach, Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a special interest in working with the nervous system and vagus nerve (Polyvagal) to help my clients recover from trauma and reduce chronic conditions like stress, anxiety, depression, pain, gut disorders, and inflammation.
With many years of experience to offer, my previous professional background prior to training as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, was in health and wellbeing for over 30 years’. This included living and working around the world supporting individuals as well as groups as an Anxiety Relief Coach, Fitness Professional and Body Worker providing therapeutic treatments. Overcoming personal traumas inspired me to do further training to qualify as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist so that I could support others through their struggles to a place of wellness. My holistic approach – that the mind and body are integrated and inseparable – allows me, as your therapist, to support you to make a better mind-body connection which is pivotal to trauma recovery and well-being.
In my work I use an Integrative approach to create a person-centred, holistic treatment plan that considers your specific individual needs and personal circumstances to help you move to a calmer, more contented place within yourself.
Continuing Professional Development
It has always been my priority to continue to invest in my professional development through regular supervision and attending further training courses, with a particular focus on body-based trauma recovery. This has enabled me to stay abreast of the latest information and ways of working with my clients, to create the ability for change and to find new and more productive ways forward.
